ZIGGY CHEN AUTUMN/WINTER 2026: DISSPARATION

Ziggy Chen's Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, DISSPARATION, was unveiled on 24 January 2026 as part of the official Paris Men's Fashion Week calendar, shown in the hushed setting of a Protestant church in the city's 8th arrondissement. It is a collection that asks to be looked at slowly.

AT THE EDGES OF PERCEPTION

DISSPARATION is not defined by what is immediately visible, but by what shifts, separates and recomposes over time. Dislocation becomes a quiet, persistent condition that shapes both form and meaning.

Fragments of the past surface without nostalgia: observed, displaced and reassembled through a contemporary sensibility that favours balance over statement and function over excess. Nothing is fully resolved. Everything remains in gentle tension.

CONSTRUCTION REVEALED: LININGS, INTERIORS & HAND-DRAWN PATTERNS

The collection's patterns begin as hand-drawn marks and fragments of memory: stone, architecture and historical imagery. Abstract yet grounded, they seem to exist between eras. Construction is revealed rather than concealed:

• linings surface on the outside of the garment
• interiors move outward, letting each piece speak through its own making
• volume and asymmetry sit together, pairing fluid Chinese proportions with European tailoring
• runway highlights included a deep grey-blue bouclé coat over uneven tailoring and a soft grey coat lined in warm brown silk

A RESTRAINED PALETTE & HONEST MATERIALS

Colour arrives in low, considered tones: warm browns, softened greys, deep grey-blues, black and muted grey-yellows. Layers build with discretion, creating depth without weight.

Natural fibres anchor the collection in an honest materiality: wool, cashmere, hemp, linen and silk. Irregular yarns and bouclé keep the traces of their process visible, and imperfection is neither hidden nor corrected.

ACCESSORIES WITH PURPOSE

The accessories follow the same logic. Layered footwear, braided leather, metal elements and cashmere scarves support function rather than decoration, avoiding ornament for its own sake.

DISSPARATION marks Ziggy Chen's first season at Orimono. Our selection focuses on tailoring, shirting and the accessories that carry the collection's quiet logic:

• the notch-collar three-button blazer and "Hidden Arc" trousers in virgin wool
• the raw-edge collar two-button blazer with drop-crotch pleated trousers
• the high-collar cropped duvet jacket and pleated wide-leg trousers
• layered-collar double-breasted, asymmetric-collar and screen-printed shirts
• mid boots with spats, made in Italy, and a braided leather and brass wallet chain, made in Japan
