D.Hygen is a Japanese avant-garde label built on the philosophy of Strainism—a concept centered on tension, equilibrium, and the dialogue between form and movement. Created by two anonymous designers, the brand investigates how the human body interacts with clothing, using structure and force to craft pieces that feel simultaneously contained and unbound.

Evolving from its earlier identity as Saddam Teissy, D.Hygen carries forward a distinctive industrial avant-garde aesthetic defined by engineered cuts, functional tension, and dark, utilitarian elegance. The brand juxtaposes clean, architectural silhouettes with mechanical elements such as custom metal buckles, laser-cut pullers, exposed fastenings, and articulated hardware. These details introduce a sculptural rigidity that contrasts with fluid draping, soft technical fabrics, and refined suiting materials.
